Chills
Yesterday it was snowing here. I'm wearing so many layers I cant even move my arms properly.
So this morning at breakfast I met up with some old acquaintances. Where chatting about this and that and I mentioned that I'm renting out my garden house for a twi fest. Dudes stayed relatively calm, but one girl was really vocal about the matter and now she sent me this link:
Basically, now I am a bit concerned. I cant recall being an intense fan of anything, so I cannot relate, really, but I'm pretty sure I would be unable to produce a high pitch shriek.
But, then again, wadda hell... I've seen my share of crazies. I just don't wanna hear any screaming or groaning while I sleep. But I'm pretty sure these are triggered only in the presence of vampires.
Anyway, I'm longing for some Baton Rouge weather right now, so no amount of nuttery can scare me.

Into the Wild
I've been cleaning up my suitcases today and from the front pocket of one of the suitcases I found a DVD which was given to me this Spring in Lisbon by this very sweet dude (or should I say lad) from Australia.
Into the Wild (2007) by Sean Penn.
Movie is really good, long though: 2:30, couldn't sit through it at the theatre.
But what really surpised me was a performance Emile Hirsch gave. Met him breafly in Cannes last May. He seemed loud and obnoxious and I tend to walk away from the conversations that turn into a monologue. But I must say: had I seen this movie before I would have cut him off and tried to get some of that Alexander Supertramp out of him.

Remake of The Crow
Oh boy... this brings back some memories.
Back in 1994 when I was going through my pre-emo emo period, you know, kinda dark and mysterious, angst and shit, I was totally in love with that movie! I was slipping that VHS into my VCR (remember those things?) every night (no kink intended). Oh the pain and the beauty! Deth of Brandon Lee just made the whole story more believable and so tragic. It gave me so much power when I walked down the street with my headphones on, wearing my black dress looking all angsty and indifferent. And I learned a lot from that movie, among other things: it makes you fart if you put onions on your hot dog.
But I really don't know about the remake.
So, I hear that Nick Cave is rewriting it. Say what?!
And the role of Eric Draven has been offered to Mark Wahlberg. Wadda....
On a chipper note: on Oct. 30 there is a "Fangtasia Night"@ the Who's Who (BTR). Flyer says: Come dressed as your favorite True Blood or Twilight character!
Jolly good! So for me it would be either Tara's boyfriend Franklin or Billy Burke. But I think I end up going as Wednesday Addams like always. If I'm not jet legged. Or maybe only if I am...

Trolls
Norwegians are unleashing a "found footage" Troll movie to States. Its about film students going troll hunting after learning their existence has been covered up by a government.
And you know, it's true. I come from a country of endless winter and midnight sun and this is where trolls are galore, this is where they breed, rule and govern. So give it up to trolls!
I feel weird today...

Paranormal Activity 2
ParanormalMovie
Well, that was interesting... I was sitting peeking through my fingers and by the end of it I was just listening with my eyes closed.
I do not like the ones with little kids, they just tend to be so more fuckin' scary. Japanese are very good at that. Couple of years ago I went through this Japanese horror phase and was scared shitless every time one of those kids popped up...

Smth to look forward to 2
Excellent girls!

Havent seen New Moon yet, but theirs is fascinating. So, Em, when I get home you can bring your shredded DVD!
The Hillywood Show

Scream!
So True Blood won Best TV Show at Spike Scream Awards as well as Best Horror Actress and Actor.
I do agree on best tv show: True Blood was my this summer's guilty pleasure.
I wouldn't call it the horror show though, but as the Fantasy category was snatched away by Twilight, I suppose it's a victory. These days (when it's public vote) if you come in second after Twi you're a winner. (Girls, isn't it like ANTM and Ann?! giggle). So I have to ask, would anyone like to bet against Pattinson winning Best Fantasy Actor? Do step up...
