This has been an interesting week.

We spent Christmas with my...eeee... (I don't know what to insert here. He's been gently pushing me for the answer to that …. (blank) ... as well, but, you know, I'm originally from Eastern Europe, we don't talk about our feelings, we don't label our significant others and we never ever act like something emotional could affect us. Hell, we're made of stone, of slate. So as he keeps trying to chisel me out, I'll call him my MAN)... so, we spent Christmas with my man's family. Everyone was really lovely, kept calling me “lass” and hugging me. Before meeting his parents, I, as always, was really panicky and almost had a coronary. These type of social accouters tend to freak me out (not that I had so many).

On 27^th I flew back to NY cause we actually had scheduled a meeting with editors, so we were sitting there wondering about that fact, getting very little work done.

On the bright side: I saw Prince perform and it was (for the lack of the better word) AWSOME.

So my.... MAN.... joined me for the New Year's celebration in NYC. I'm not going to get into the details, but it was LOVELY. Do hope my whole year's going to be like that....

Now we're back in Baton Rouge, I'm lying in bed, I have a flu. And my BF is taking care of me. THERE, I almost spelled it out! All this flu medicine, fever and love is making me lose some of my slate...
